The action effectively removes the world’s second biggest stablecoin USDC as a tradeable asset on Binance’s platform.

Binance has announced that it will automatically convert USDC, USDP, and TUSD to BUSD. The exchange says that this will boost liquidity and be to the benefit of users.

This could have significant ramifications for USD Coin’s standing in the stablecoin market — but customers will still be able to make USDC withdrawals.
