Monero Network Reaches Community Consensus For July Hard Fork

Developers of the Monero Network have announced that the privacy-focused blockchain protocol has reached a community consensus in which a mainnet hard fork will be implemented at block height 2,668,888. The update to Monero’s mainnet will see an increase to the chain’s ring size, going from 11 to 16, while also adding view tags for outputs that would result in a drastic reduction to its wallet scanning time.
